Chris DeVault
Chief Executive OfficerChris is a 30‑year federal technology leader who has helped organizations modernize, secure, and scale mission‑critical operations at companies such as Tresys Technology, EMC, and Internosis. His career has centered on enabling teams to execute with clarity, purpose, and measurable impact. Chris began his career as a security analyst for the US Department of State overseeing security evaluations of embassies across the globe.
Chris joined AlphaSix in 2016 as VP of Services and later served as COO, helping guide the company through its evolution into a technology‑led federal solutions provider. As CEO, he leads product strategy, market expansion, and corporate development, ensuring AlphaSix delivers modern, mission‑aligned solutions that advance federal agency outcomes. He works directly with engineering and customer stakeholders to drive innovation, operational excellence, and long‑term value.
Chris holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University and an MS in Technical Management from The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering.
Albert Villar
Chief Operating Officer
Al brings 30 years of experience in information technology, including more than 20 years supporting U.S. Federal agencies and mission‑critical programs. His background spans enterprise architecture, strategic planning, and large‑scale systems design, giving him deep expertise in aligning technology with complex operational and mission needs. Over the course of his career, he has supported multiple federal agencies and programs, helping organizations modernize, secure, and scale their enterprise environments.
At AlphaSix, Al is responsible for ensuring the company consistently delivers high‑quality service and support to customers and partners. He oversees client delivery operations, technical recruiting and staffing, and customer support processes, while driving initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency and long‑term client satisfaction.
Chief Financial OfficerLeigh Barnhill
Leigh Barnhill is a seasoned finance and operations executive with more than three decades of experience supporting growth, transformation, and financial excellence across the federal technology and professional services landscape. He has held senior leadership roles at organizations including General Dynamics and GDIT, where he served as Vice President of Finance and Business Operations, and has provided executive financial oversight as CFO for companies such as USfalcon and Bennett Aerospace.
Throughout his career, Leigh has been a strategic business partner to executive teams, guiding organizations through complex financial environments, M&A activity, and operational scaling. Before joining AlphaSix, Leigh served as Chief Financial Officer at Omni Federal, where he supported the company’s digital transformation mission and growth strategy.
Leigh holds extensive experience in building high‑performing teams, implementing financial and operational frameworks, and partnering with mission‑focused organizations across the federal market.
Stephen Moore
Chief Technology OfficerStephen Moore is a Founder and the Chief Technology Officer of AlphaSix Corporation, where he leads work in large-scale data systems, cybersecurity, and advanced analytics in support of U.S. federal government missions. Over a career spanning nearly three decades, he has built and led engineering teams delivering production systems across domains including intrusion detection, malicious code reverse engineering, and enterprise-scale analytics.
A Virginia Tech alumnus (B.S., Computer Science, 1995), Mr. Moore began his career in information security research and operational defense, working with organizations such as the National Security Agency and MITRE before co-founding Crucial Security, which grew to over 100 engineers and was later acquired by Harris Corporation. He also holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Moore is the inventor on a U.S. patent for a novel anomaly detection technique and has architected multiple large-scale distributed data platforms using modern open-source and commercial technologies.
VP, Product Development & AI SolutionsChris Steel
Christopher Steel is a seasoned technology strategist with more than two decades of experience shaping enterprise vision, modernizing architectures, and leading high‑impact digital transformation initiatives. As a senior leader at AlphaSix, he has guided organizations across federal and commercial sectors through complex modernization efforts, bringing a rare blend of deep technical fluency, strategic clarity, and hands‑on engineering expertise. His background spans data science, machine learning, cybersecurity, and large‑scale systems design, supported by a suite of advanced certifications including CISSP, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect, and multiple executive‑level data science credentials from Coursera. Chris was the chief architect on Pay.gov and has been developing bleeding-edge AI solutions for the past 10 years. His work is marked by a consistent focus on building resilient, scalable platforms that empower organizations to operate with greater intelligence, efficiency, and security.
A graduate of Dickinson College—where he played football and served in student leadership—he continues to blend technical leadership with a commitment to developing people and strengthening communities.

Jeff Posey
Jeff Posey has more than 30 years of experience in the Federal IT sector, where he has built a distinguished career leading sales, operations, and growth initiatives across some of the industry’s most recognized technology and services organizations. He began his career in 1993 at Falcon Microsystems/GTSI, a prominent federal reseller, where he developed deep expertise in federal procurement, channel strategy, and mission‑focused technology delivery.
Jeff later joined Hewlett‑Packard, spending a decade supporting major federal customers including the Department of State, U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and Department of Justice. His work at HP established him as a trusted partner to federal agencies, known for driving complex technology programs and strengthening long‑term customer relationships.
In 2005, Jeff moved to Emtec (formerly Westwood Computer Corporation), where he held several leadership roles including Senior Account Manager, Federal Services Manager, and ultimately Vice President overseeing the Federal Sales Organization. During his tenure, he helped expand Emtec’s federal footprint, led high‑performing teams, and guided the company through significant growth in the government market.
Jeff was one of the founders of AlphaSix, playing a central role in shaping the company’s early strategy, culture, and customer base. He served as President and CEO until May 2026, leading AlphaSix through more than a decade of evolution—from a services‑driven systems integrator and VAR to a modern federal technology company with a strong product‑led vision.
As Executive Chairman and board member, Jeff continues to support AlphaSix bringing decades of federal market experience, customer insight, and strategic leadership to the company’s long‑term direction.

David Rutchik
David Rutchik is a senior executive, advisor, and investor with more than 30 years of experience across technology transformation, software and systems integration, outsourcing, shared services, and large‑scale business operations. His career spans roles as an attorney, technology company executive, management consulting leader, and early‑stage software investor, giving him a uniquely multidimensional perspective on how organizations evolve, scale, and compete.
David is currently the Managing Partner of The Dorzac Group, where he provides enterprise executive advisory support, private equity operating expertise, and early‑stage software investment and guidance. He serves as an advisor to multiple Fortune 500 companies and sits on several boards, including the AlphaSix Board of Directors. His additional board and advisory roles include SAP integrator EverBlue Partners, ServiceNow integrator KeenStack, and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is also a member of the Executive Director Network for Edison Partners and has previously served on the boards of Mastek US, cybersecurity software company Fugue (as Executive Chairman), and lease‑accounting software provider LeaseAccelerator.
Before founding The Dorzac Group, David spent more than 16 years as Executive Managing Director of Pace Harmon, a global consultancy specializing in outsourcing, process optimization, and operational efficiency. He co‑led the firm from its initial bootstrap stage with a single client into a leading boutique management consulting organization serving hundreds of Fortune 500 companies and government entities. During this period, he advised CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, and other C‑suite leaders on complex commercial transactions, operational transformation, and enterprise strategy. He ultimately guided the company through a successful strategic sale and exit.
Earlier in his career, David served as President of the cloud services division of Diveo Broadband Networks, an international IT outsourcing and telecommunications provider backed by Goldman Sachs, TPG, and other major private equity firms. Prior to that, he held roles as General Counsel and EVP of Corporate Development, and began his career as an attorney in the outsourcing practice at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman.
David graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his JD from the Vanderbilt University School of Law, where he served on the Vanderbilt Law Review. He is a frequent contributor to IT and business publications and a regular speaker at CFO and CIO leadership forums.

Robert Stalick
Robert “Bob” Stalick has more than 30 years of experience leading and scaling technology companies. He developed deep expertise in bringing innovative products to market—from concept through commercialization—and driving growth in highly regulated and technically demanding environments.
Most recently he served as Chief Executive Officer of Acuity, where he oversaw the company’s global strategy and led a workforce of more than 7,000 employees supporting government and commercial clients. During his tenure, he advanced the firm’s growth in cybersecurity and information technology, positioning the organization to address complex and evolving digital threats. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Owl Cyber Defense and previously led Tresys Technology as CEO, guiding the company through its merger with Owl in 2019. Earlier, as Chairman and CEO of Internosis, he led the firm from its founding through a private equity-backed expansion and successful acquisition by EMC.
Mr. Stalick began his career in government systems integration, including six years leading the U.S. Department of State’s Computer Security Laboratory. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
Walter McLallen is a seasoned investor, board director, and finance executive with more than 25 years of experience across leveraged finance, private equity, operations, and corporate governance. His career spans leadership roles in capital markets, consumer products, specialty manufacturing, healthcare, and global services, giving him a broad and deeply informed perspective on how companies scale, restructure, and create long‑term enterprise value.
Walter is the Managing Member of Meritage Capital Advisors, an advisory firm he has led since 2004, focused on debt and private equity transaction origination, structuring, and strategic consulting. He has extensive board experience across both public and private companies and currently serves as Co‑Chairman of Tomahawk Strategic Solutions, and as a board member of OneSpaWorld Holdings, The Lovesac Company, adMarketplace, Classic Brands, Silver Falls Dermatology, and several other organizations spanning consumer, healthcare, and industrial markets. His board leadership has included roles in audit, compensation, governance, and strategic oversight.
Walter previously served as Vice Chairman of Remington Outdoor Company, an outdoor consumer platform he co‑founded with a major investment firm, where he helped guide the company through significant growth, acquisitions, and operational transformation. He has also served on the boards of Centric Brands, AerCap Holdings, Timeless Wine Company, Worldwise, and multiple specialty manufacturing and technology firms.
Earlier in his career, Walter spent nearly a decade at CIBC World Markets, where he was Managing Director and Head of Debt Capital Markets and High‑Yield Distribution. He began his career in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Drexel Burnham Lambert and was a founding member of The Argosy Group, gaining early exposure to complex transactions, capital structuring, and strategic advisory work.
Walter holds a B.A. in Economics and Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, and over the course of his career has built a reputation as a disciplined operator, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor to CEOs, investors, and boards. His experience across finance, operations, and governance makes him a valuable contributor to AlphaSix’s long‑term strategic direction.

Mark Hughes
Mark started with Federal Data Corporation, a Federal Systems integrator, in 1987 and has since held positions with a number of IT manufacturers including Everex, Acer, and Hewlett-Packard. During his 13-year employment with HP, Mark held roles as an end user sales rep, a channel sales rep, strategic program manager for SLED and corporate sales, and as a sales manager for SLED and DOD sales. His last position was with Emtec as the Director of DOD Sales. Mark Hughes was a Founder of AlphaSix and CSO. He retired from day-to-day operations in 2026 but remains a member of the AlphaSix Holdings, LLC board of directors and continues to provide strategic leadership to the company’s long‑term direction.

As the former Senior Procurement Executive of Department of State (Managing Director and Head of Contracting Activity), Cathy has over 30 years’ experience working in the Federal acquisition arena with both Government and industry roles, from formulation of the program, through the entire source selection process, following with contract administration and eventual close out. Cathy assists the AlphaSix Quantify team in understanding all aspects of the Federal procurement process.
Senior Advisor, QuantifyMichael B. Smith
Michael formerly served as the Executive Director of the Office of Selective Acquisitions where he led the execution of classified and sensitive acquisitions across DHS. He also served as the Director, Strategic Sourcing Program Office (SSPO) within the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO), Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives (Information Technology Acquisition Center, Director of the Enterprise Solutions Office), and Program Manager for the DHS $48 Billion EAGLE and FirstSource acquisition programs. Michael assists the AlphaSix Quantify team with product strategy and business development.
